We all wonder if we're drinking enough water to stay healthy, right? You may have heard that we all need to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water. But there is no "one size fits all" solution. The answer really depends on your weight.
Here's the formula you need to know. Take your weight in pounds, divide it in half, and that's the MINIMUM ounces of water you should drink each day!
Why do you have to drink so much every day? Your body is about 60% water. Every single one of your body's systems need water to function efficiently. And we want our bodies to function well and be healthy!
You need to ADD to this water goal if:
- it's hot
- it's cold
- you're exercising
- you're losing fluids due to fever, vomiting, or diarrhea
- you're at a high altitude
Do you have trouble drinking so much water? I did, too, until I found M Stiks! They add great flavor and healthy benefits to my water bottles:
